Fab pics. I have some of the same shots having been to Cullodon and Cawdor Castle. Spend two weeks touring every year - never been to Orkney. Just about to plan this years trip - who knows ?!

Thank you Dawn. I would urge you to take the crossing to Orkney. I was travelling with a friend and we decided to spend two nights in Orkney. First night we stayed in Kirkwall at the Hotel St Ola on the harbour. Second night we stayed at a B&B in Stromness. This gave us enough time to explore Skara Brae, the Neolithic standing stones and the Maes Howe burial mound. It was truly inspirational.
